Rue de Paris

This street is the ancient western entrance to the city and runs from the western peripheral road to the old roman gate (now the arch next to clock tower) The street architecture is basically Medieval -Victorian but many of the old facades have had modern transformations over the past 8 centuries. The only real shopping and dining opportunities are close to the downtown area near the old city gate. There you’ll find a few traditional french bistros, limited garment shopping and a few high end lingerie stores.
